Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-03-05
By using Board of One, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, that's fine — but you can't use the service.
1. What Board of One is
Board of One is a decision-support tool. You describe a decision, specialized AI perspectives debate it from multiple angles, and you get a synthesised recommendation. It's NOT a substitute for professional financial, legal, medical, or other advice. You make the decisions. You own the outcomes.
2. Your account
Some features require an account. Keep your login details secure and let us know if someone else gets access. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.
3. What you can't do
Use the service lawfully and respectfully. Don't:
- Break any laws or infringe others' intellectual property
- Send harmful or offensive content through the platform
- Reverse engineer or extract our proprietary systems
- Interfere with the service or its infrastructure
4. Your content, your ownership
Everything you put into Board of One stays yours. We need a licence to process it (otherwise the service can't work), but we only use your content to provide the service to you. We don't sell it. We don't train external models on it.
5. Our intellectual property
The service — including how our deliberation engine works under the hood — is owned by Sico Software Ltd and protected by intellectual property law. Don't reverse engineer it.
6. Paying for it
Some features require a paid plan. Pricing is on our website and can change with 30 days' notice. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Refunds are at our discretion except where the law says otherwise. If we offer a free trial, you won't be charged until it ends — cancel before then to avoid charges.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy covers how we handle your data. It's part of these terms.
8. Liability
Board of One is provided as-is. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't guarantee it will be perfect or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or loss of profits or revenue. If your use of the service or a breach of these terms causes us legal trouble, you agree to cover the costs.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll let you know by email or in the app. If you keep using the service after that, you're accepting the new version.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
